New Look…Same Exceptional Service!

Thank you for being a part of Bonzi’s continued success. Over the years we have set the standard of exceeding your expectations with our products and services. This includes the high expectations of our support team that you’ve come to rely on, in helping you run a great program.

Your continued partnership has created a need for us to seek out a more efficient system to provide the high standards of support you have come to expect from Bonzi. As a result, we have found a new software system that creates an efficient work flow. What change does this mean for you….not a thing!

As with any strong partnership, we do need to ask if we can lean on you for a moment. During our transition, if you find you are not getting your responses in a timely manner, there is a chance your communication may have been “lost in space”. We kindly ask that you give us a nudge and let us know that you are patiently waiting for your response.

While we have taken every precaution to ensure this does not happen, we know transitions bring about unforeseen hurdles. Please do not hesitate to send us a reminder, if we have not responded to you in a time frame you have come to expect from our team.

Thank you again for your continued support of our team and we appreciate you allowing us to support yours.

COACHES, TEAM MANAGERS, AND TEAM PARENTS

Having this information in one place, will help you provide the kids with a better experience. Encourage your parents to keep their players attendance updated to help you better manage your trainings and games, for the season.

PLAYERS AND PARENTS

Marking your (or your player’s) attendance is really easy and you can also see who else will be at your team event by either looking at the schedule under the attendance section or by clicking the ATTENDANCE button on your team dashboard.

Cool New Features Coming Soon!

We have some exciting news!
Soon you’ll see some cool new features in your Bonzi software. We’ve been working hard on these new features and are excited to give you a sneak peek into what’s coming and where to find them.

Welcome email for new members
When new people sign up for member accounts on your site, send them a customized email to welcome them to your organization. This can also be a great way to share information that is especially useful for new members, such as rules and policies, or important dates or events.  Similar to group emails, the welcome email can be customized with graphics and colors to reinforce your brand.

Look for this feature coming soon under the Communications menu>New Member Welcome Email.

Member profile photos
Profile photos can now be stored for each member. If you have official member photos, they can be uploaded directly into Bonzi for each member.  Photos are synced with TeamStream™, so if a member puts a photo in their TeamStream™ profile, it will be visible in Bonzi for admins.  Conversely, a photo added by an admin in Bonzi will be displayed in TeamStream™, unless the user chooses to use their own photo instead. And don’t worry – if you upload a photo into Bonzi for a member, they cannot change it – it’s their “official” photo, and it’s under your control.

The member profile photos feature will be visible soon on the Edit Member screen in Bonzi.

Custom backgrounds in TeamStream™
Give TeamStream™ a custom look for your organization! When you upload a custom TeamStream™ background image in Bonzi, it will be set as the background of the TeamStream™ interface for all of the teams in your organization, as shown below.

This feature will be available soon under the Admin > Preferences > TeamStream Background menu.

Stay tuned for more information coming soon about custom backgrounds in TeamStream™.

TeamStream™ sign in button in Member Home
Coming soon, members will start seeing a button in their member home that signs them directly into TeamStream™. This button will only appear for members who have accepted an invite to a team in your organization.

This is the first step in a plan to completely streamline access to TeamStream™ by allowing users to log into TeamStream™ directly from their member account.

Verified Member Icons
If you’ve verified a member by checking the Age / ID Verified box on their Edit Member page, you’ll now see an icon next to their name on the Team Settings page to reflect their verification status.

These features are only the beginning! Keep your eye out for more information in the coming months on what’s new and what’s coming from Bonzi.

TeamStream™ iCal Feature, Bonzi Game Scheduler & More!

That’s right! Coming Monday, April 2, 2012 we’re releasing some new enhancements to the Bonzi Scheduler and TeamStream™.

What’s New with the Game Scheduler
You’ll be able to choose to display the primary team contact name and email address on your team schedules, so teams contact each other to coordinate schedule changes.  Turn on the team contact information in the Game Scheduler module.  In Game Scheduler, choose Schedules > Display & Settings.  You can choose to display the primary team contact for all teams or for selected divisions.

Announcing TeamStream™ Upgrades
First, a thank you to everyone for your feedback and enthusiasm about this product.  We’ve only just begun with TeamStream™ and we’re excited about the upcoming changes we have planned.

Over the last few months our staff has been collecting feedback, attending coach meetings, and talking with parents and club volunteers about what they want to see added or changed in TeamStream™.  Now it’s time to get into action! In the coming weeks you’ll see continuous upgrades to TeamStream™ based on the feedback from TeamStream™ users and Bonzi clients.

Here’s what’s coming on Monday, April 2

  • Sync your TeamStream calendars to your personal calendar using iCal (.ics) downloads or subscription services.  If you haven’t used iCal before, it’s the most widely adopted way to connect calendars from different sites or desktop software.  So if you use a calendar software like Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Cozi, Yahoo Calendar, Apple iCal or almost any other popular calendar software, you can now get
your schedule from TeamStream™ to appear alongside all of your other calendar items!
  • Streamlined calendar view and icon changes creating a cleaner look.
  • Easier roster printing feature.
  • “Announcements” is now called “Announcements & Email”, making the feature description more clear. When someone makes an announcement, it posts to the TeamStream™ and sends an email notification to team members.
  • “Text & Email Alerts” is now simply called “Text Alerts”.  If a TeamStream™ user has email notification turned on for Text Alerts, they will also receive an email message.

Some of the features coming in the next few weeks include:

Update on Game Scheduler & League Management Enhancements

We Are Listening

Listening is one of our core values and what we call Being Bonzi. We value all ideas, suggestions and interaction from our clients, co-workers and partners. We believe that by listening and understanding we can contribute and bring more value to everyone in the Bonzi community.

Every comment or piece of feedback we receive from our clients helps to shape future improvements to the software products and services we offer and that’s why it’s so important to hear from you.

Update on Game Scheduler and League Management Enhancements

As a result of the hard work of our staff and many of our clients and User Group, over the next couple of months we’ll be releasing a series of upgrades for the game scheduler and league management module.

Included in the next upgrade is a new feature that gives you the option to display the primary contact name and email address for each team whose schedule is published on your website.  The upgrade is scheduled for release on 4/2/2012.

As many of you know, we’ve been collecting feedback and working with our User Group to identify changes to the game scheduling and league management solution.

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who has given their feedback  and give special recognition to those that participated in our user group or spent time working with our staff to help us identify enhancements for the scheduling module.

We’d like to thank the following organizations and individuals:

Ken Conyers – HBQVB

Harp Sohi – Tri City Youth Basketball Association

Shelley Boe – Pitt Meadows Soccer Club

Tim Copeland – PYSA

Tim McMonigle – West Seattle Soccer Club

Jim Parent – Keizer Soccer Club

Kim Kelleher – Tigard Little League

Paul Sper – Gold Coast Youth Football League

We’d also like to welcome and recognize Calgary United Soccer Association, with a 100 year tradition of soccer in the Calgary area, who’ll be working with Bonzi to bring even more features including game reports, tracking guest players on rosters, and statistical tracking for leagues.

Thanks again to everyone in the Bonzi community for your feedback and support.  Together we are making this a better product for everyone.

Software Upgrade: New Officials Module & Game Scheduler Changes

New Officials Module is Available

We are happy to announce the release of our new Officials Module as a part of your Bonzi game scheduling solution.

The Officials Module was designed to help organizations managing in-house officials programs register their officials and manage their game assignments. Officials approved in your Bonzi software can self-assign to games through their Member account or administrators can assign officials to games. Regardless of whether you allow self-assign or you assign your officials, your officials can use the easy tools available to them through their member account to view and print their schedule, cancel their assignments, and communicate with your officials coordinator.

Learn more about the new officials module by visiting Bonzi University which is accessible under HELP in your Bonzi software.  As always, give us a call and we can get you started, AND we’ll be introducing some online training sessions for your officials coordinators.

Upgrades to Game Scheduler and Member Account

As many of you know, we have volunteers from many clients participating in a Scheduler User Group.  They have dedicated their precious time to help us identify changes we can make to make the scheduler easier to learn, streamline processes to make scheduling faster, and add other key features that will help everyone with their scheduling tasks.

Over the course of the next few months, you’ll begin to see a series of enhancements to the game scheduler and the addition of more league management tools. We’ve prioritized the enhancements that have been identified and will be introducing changes in small upgrades.

Included in this software upgrade are some changes to the game scheduler.

CHANGED TO TABS INSTEAD OF PANES

You’ll notice that we have changed the format for the options on your page from panes to tabs. This simple change provides for more room on your screen and in the changes due out in March, we’ll make the tabs “sticky”.  This means if you have clicked on the GAMES tab, for example, and choose another folder, the GAMES page will continue to display until you make another choice. This simple change reduces the number of clicks.

MORE FILTERS AND ASSIGN OFFICIALS ON THE GAMES TAB

You’ll also notice in this release on the GAMES tab we’ve added features to give you more display flexibility while also giving you the ability to assign officials easily from this screen in either theFOLDER VIEW or LOCATIONS VIEW.

MENU CHANGES

  • Your Settings and Display Option lets you choose what displays on your website and when has been moved from STANDINGS to SCHEDULES.
  • VIEW has been added so administrators can view or print their standings in the scheduler module.
  • OFFICIALS has been added and allows you to configure officials ranks and game templates.
  • COMMUNICATION has been added to manage communication of game changes to officials.

MEMBER ACCOUNT HAS A WHOLE NEW LOOK

While we were at it, we gave the member account a fresh, new look.  All the features are the same, but this upgrade will help to make your organization look even more professional.

Upcoming Changes

Look for further changes to your work screens to make information easier to find and improvements to the way games are scheduled.  For example, you’ll have the option of choosing a straight schedule for your rounds instead of a mirrored schedule and team conflict management will be enhanced.

We’ll be publishing more information as we get closer to a release date.  In the meantime, we welcome and encourage your feedback about the new Officials Module and any other ideas you wish to share.

Your Bonzi Team

New Feature: Team Fees & Credits

Thank You for Your Ideas!

First, we want to thank Cheryl from Harbor Soccer Club, Marlenny from Alaska Rush, and the folks at Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association for advocating for the Team Fees & Credits feature. We know this will save time for many people and make their jobs easier!

Do you have an idea you’d like to share? If so, be sure to join the Idea Forum.

New Team Fees & Credits Feature

Need to quickly add fees to multiple members of a team, or credit everybody’s account at once?  Bonzi’s new Team Fees & Credits feature makes it easy!

Say you have a team that has entered a tournament and each player on the team needs to pay an additional registration fee. Or, a team has just held a fundraising car wash and earned money as a group – how do you apply that credit to each team member?

Rather than going through and adjusting the balance on each person’s account individually, just use the Team Fees & Credits feature to do it all in just a few clicks! To begin, just choose a team in your folder tree and then click the Add Team Fees or Credits button near the bottom of the screen:

Then, fill out the Add Team Fees or Credits pop up box with your revenue code, date, comments, and whether you are adding fees or credits. Last, fill in the boxes next to each player individually or all at once with the amount to apply to their account. This flexibility allows you to assess a different amount to each player or to groups of players as needed.  Very convenient!

New Warning Message During Online Registration

Limited Availability Messaging for Registration Events

Another feature we added this week is called Limited availability messaging for registration events with categories that are getting close to being filled.  If you have a registration event with a limited number of registration slots in a category, once the category is getting close to filling up, registrants will now see a Limited availability flag next to the category name on the category list page so they know that they should register right away.

New Markel Sports Insurance Program is Now Available!

We know what it’s like to volunteer as a board member. You don’t always know how to begin, where to go for help, and how things like insurance work. And it takes hours of time to get up to speed. Sometimes you just don’t have the time to do the things you’d like for your organization.

And as a board member, you feel responsible…you are always on the lookout for products or services that help your organization, reduce costs, eliminate stress and time demands on volunteers. You also want to be ensured your organization runs smoothly with best practices and is protected from risk.

As part of our continuing effort to help make your jobs easier, Bonzi has partnered with top national companies to provide you turn-key services that you can trust to deliver quality and great value. Markel is the latest addition to that service offering and we are excited to announce the availability of the Markel Sports Insurance Program.

Markel, an underwriter of specialty insurance products, is a leading provider of sports insurance that helps organizations like yours obtain the coverage you need. They also provide educational and risk management-focused resources that will help your organization identify and manage risks associated with running your programs.

Who can benefit from the Markel Sports Insurance Program?

Everyone. Even if your organization is already covered through your affiliation with a parent organization, there may be gaps in your coverage.

This is where Markel can help. Markel’s experienced sports insurance specialists can assess the programs you offer and your current insurance coverage to help you determine if you are fully covered or whether there are possible gaps in your insurance coverage. For example, you may need insurance for camps, tournaments or crime coverage that protects your organization from theft or fraud. Or you may find cost savings in purchasing a full liability package. The sports specialists at Markel are ready to help you decide what’s best for your organization.

At Bonzi, our goal is to make it easy for you to assure that your organization is protected without a lot of hassle.

Learn More

You will learn more about the Markel Sports Insurance Program in 2012. In the meantime, visit the Bonzi website, contact a Markel sports insurance specialist by email, or call 800-496-1185.
